mr possett woke next morning
got out of bed, stood up yawning
put on his shirt, fastened his tie
is that the time? my god, i'll have to fly!
i've got a first class stamp to buy
and i know the reason why
i've ate my breakfast and drunk my tea
i'm going to buy that stamp
it's quite important to me

as mr possett walked down the road
out of the bushes jumped a great big toad
hopping and dancing along the street
avoiding the toad collector's feet
i've got a first class stamp to buy

ain't going to the bread-shop, ain't going to the bank
I'm off to the post office to buy a stamp

the toad it leapt for possett's knee
i'll get you toad, you wait and see
but first i've got to buy a stamp
and save my potting shed from rising damp
i've ate my breakfast and drunk my tea

and a toad won't stop me

next morning as possett was locking his door
he glanced up the garden and guess what he saw..
the giant toad was there
it was waiting for him
with an evil grin
it clambered onto the potting shed roof
started bouncing around
while making a sound
the sound that giant toads make
when potting shed roofs are about to break

the potting shed shed roof began to splinter
then split in twain with a crash of timber
giant toad hopped off up the garden
and mr possett was broken hearted

i've got a potting shed roof to mend
have you got a hammer i could lend?
then i'll catch that toad and wring it's neck
it's broken my roof and deserves what it gets..
