about

The Fall live at Sheffield Polytechnic (The Nelson Mandela Building) on 26/03/1992. The tour followed the release of the "Code: Selfish" album.
Support should have been Levitation but they had been kicked off the tour after just 3 dates by Mark E. Smith, with whom an argument backstage in Leicester escalated into a challenge that they fight him. They declined and Smith allegedly told them they "might as well pack their bags and f--- off then". ( Further info - see NME clipping in the gigography section of the excellent website thefall.org )

Mark E. Smith - vocals
Steve Hanley - bass
Craig Scanlon - guitar
Simon Wolstencroft - drums
Dave Bush - keyboards
