HOTB went through a few different line-ups. This recording of a rehearsal in 1981 features:

Mick Shaw - guitar
Michael Paramore - vocals
David Bocking - saxophone
Paul Wade - drums
Simon Barfield - bass
Helene - vocals

This was recorded at Paul Wade's house, thanks to Simon Barfield for donating the recording to STA.

Live versions of some of these songs are featured on the Live at The Hallamshire compilation elsewhere on STA. Another HOTB recording is also on STA, featuring a different line-up of Mick Shaw, Jarvis Cocker, Steve Genn, David Bocking, Nick Taylor, Peter Dalton and Greg Thompson. Other members of HOTB from the original line up were Richard Hartley (drums) and Duncan Broomhead (bass) who astonished everyone at the end of a gig at The Hallamshire by announcing his retirement and completely smashed up his guitar, Pete Townsend style.
